LINGO:
CLARIFY – using a shampoo, one that is specifically designed for clarifying and removing residue and buidup

CO-WASH – using a conditioner in place of shampoo to wash the hair. Co-washing can be done occasionally but it should not take the place of a product that is actually create to life dirt and residue.

DETOX – using a clay or ayurvedic powder to remove buildp, plastics, protein polymers, toxins, and mineral deposits from the hair.

MOISTURIZE & SEAL –  applying water to the hair first, followed by a water-based leave-in, and then using an anhydrous product to seal in the moisture.

NO-POO: shampoo free regimen

PINEAPPLING – placing hair on top of the head in a loose ponytail. With medium length hair, several sections are placed in loose ponytail to help preserve the style.

PRE-POO: applying an oil to damp, finger detangled hair. The oil is massaged into the scalp to help lift any dirt and/or buildup. Great option when using a shampoo.

SEARCH & DESTROY – seeking out single strand knots (aka fairy knots) strand by strand

SHINGLING – applying your moisturizing and styling product in layers from top to bottom in a raking motion to help define your natural curl pattern
