For more than 15 years, A Natural Affair has been a pioneer and blueprint in providing a wide-range of natural hair care services for the Greater Memphis area and West Tennessee.

Founded in 2008 by TaKeisha Berry-Brooks with the first location on Poplar Avenue, A Natural Affair began with a focus on serving clients with natural hair or those transitioning to natural due to rising popularity, as well as to create an environment where women and children would feel empowered to discover and embrace their natural beauty.

As the first and only full-service natural hair salon in Memphis, A Natural Affair has continued to grow, and in 2022, opened an additional location in Cordova, TN to serve clients in the Memphis-area suburbs. The salons have been featured in various local, regional, and national outlets, as well as have received many awards for being one of the best salons for natural hair in the nation.

What started as a passion for caring for natural hair grew into a salon built on trust, patience, and doing what is right for each client. 

Takeisha’s approach to hair care has always been simple: healthy hair comes first. She believes natural hair care is personal, and that every head of hair tells a different story. That belief shapes everything that happens in the salon, from taking time during consultations to educating clients on how to care for their hair at home. There is no rushing here, no one size fits all styling, just honest care and attention to detail.

At its heart, A Natural Affair is about community. Takeisha is proud to serve Memphis and has built a salon where clients can relax, be themselves, and feel at home.
